Torkel Knutsson - Director / Writer / Producer

Torkel has worked within the film industry since an early age, and is familiar with all aspects of the industry. He has made numerous tv documentaries, rock videos, short films, 7ercials and feature films, he has worked as a script doctor, choreographer, theatre consultant, lecturer and has played many parts as an actor, in films, on tv and in theatre.

He has also worked as a mentor and an advisor for numerous musical artists, actors and people from a broad range of the media industry.

His most recent work includes: writing and directing the current circus show by the Burnt Out Punks, as well as filming their 2012 tour and rehearsals, co-writing the script for the feature film 1888, writing, directing and producing his feature film Lies to Love, which will be released in cinemas in 2013. Lies to Love is predicted to follow the success of Torkel's first feature film, Naked Again.

Torkel has been awarded several prizes, amongst them prizes for "best scriptwriter" and "best commercial", he achieved international recognition for directing numerous commercials for Absolut Vodka, he has got qualifications from a number of educational bodies, amongst them the Dramatic Institute in Stockholm, "Teaterhögskolan", RMI Berghs School of Communication, and the Eastwater Art Academy EWAA in three dimensional design.

He has also worked as a mentor and an advisor for numerous musical artists, actors and people from a broad range of the media industry.

Torkel has mentored and supported many young drug and alcohol addicts, helping them on to the road to recovery, he is currently working on a screenplay based on the true story of a famous Swedish culture personality.

Lies To Love

Lies to Love is a Swedish romantic comedy due to be released in Swedish cinemas 2013, and released on dvd later during 2013, in Sweden and Europe. It was made on a tenth of the production budget of a Swedish feature film, with the end result being a high quality film. Lies to Love is currently being re-written for the American market.

Burnt Out Punks

The Burnt out Punks is currently the biggest fire circus in Europe, with their sensational 2012 European tour opening in Transsylvania to an audience of more than 12.000, and ending with three extremely successful performances in London outside the National Theatre, all sold out.

Naked Again

Naked Again is a Swedish comedy, born out of the internationally acclaimed and prize winning short film Naked.
Premiered at the Cannes International Film Festival 2001 against films like Lord of the Rings, and Moulin Rouge with Nicole Kidman, both films with a marketing budget many times higher than our entire production budget. Marketed on 250 centre spreads all over the world, covered by 70 different tv news and entertainment shows in 50 different countries, and made it on to the front page of the Cannes Market News twice. Naked Again was sold to 73 countries, and was a huge success in China and many other Asian countries. Naked Again is currently being re-written for the American market.

 

Charles Maquignon - Actor / Producer

Charles has vast experience as an actor and a theatrical mentor.
He has had parts in several big productions, tv films and tv series, amongst them Colombiana, Hannibal Rising and Yeti.
Charles is an important part of the creative work force, and was responsible for creating the original plot with Torkel.

Jens-Petter Sjöberg - Post Production

Jens-Peter Sjöberg has worked with Visual Effects for over 14 years and has directed commercials and music promotion videos. He has worked on Blockbusters like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Superman Returns and The Golden Compass. For the last 3 years he has worked as a VFX Supervisor for his own company Node AB and has developed a number of amazing projects.

Max Marklund - Editing

Max Marklund is a very exciting up and coming film editor, who despite his youth has already got a rather impressive CV. Max worked with Torkel Knutsson on Lies to Love as the editor, and was also responsible for the post production on Lies to Love.

Sigyn Avis - Writer / Research / Translation

Sigyn started out as a free lance journalist, as well as writing numerous song lyrics, short stories for children, and working as a restaurant critic. She has been co-creating synopses for various rock videos and music documentaries, as well as co-writing some early screenplays with Torkel Knutsson. She has worked with Torkel Knutsson in different constellations over the years, co-writing short film Naked, feature film 1888, and currently writing scripts for a Swedish punk film based on a true story, and two more international feature films with Torkel Knutsson.
