Invest in 1888 The Movie
Piratfilm, Knutssonbrothers, Covet This, and Hard To Handle Movies are currently in the process of financing 1888 The Movie, and are looking for other interested partners. We are open for Co-Productions and Executive Producers, and would also welcome companies who are interested in product placement, or any other forms of sponsorship.
The estimated budget is:
The above mentioned companies have already invested:
And will invest a further:
We are looking for investments up to:
The investors will be the first to be reimbursed as soon as the production has reached the stage where it starts to make a profit, according to the percentage of investment in relation to the quota of net profit. All contracts will be valid for a period of seven years, with all investors having the option to extend their contracts after that period, should they wish to do so.
We have already started pre-production, with the filming scheduled to start in September 2013.
The entire pre-production has been carefully planned with all estimated expenses taken into consideration, and we will be able to produce the whole process in a cost effective way, without cutting any corners regarding quality.
The investment will be re-calculated as a percentage relating to the preliminary budget of £3.237.500, equating the investor's part of the net profit.
There will be a 10 % deduction in the calculations taking any potential cost increases into account. This will allow for further investment should the cost surpass the estimated budget of £3.237.500, but if we stay within the calculated budget the 10 % will not be deducted.
A Good Investment?
A successful film will keep on earning money for years, generating an income first through cinema screenings, later through DVD release, and then through selling to cable. An English speaking film can be sold on to thousands of pay per view channels, TV stations all over the world and online film streaming.
We can produce 1888 economically because we have already got a strong team core of director, writers, research assistants and editors on board. We have partnered up with post production companies, sound engineer companies, and marketing firms. Every member of the team so far is employed on a wage negotiation basis, with a guaranteed cut in the movie after release, so it is in everyone's interest to produce a successful moneymaking film.
We have started the pre-production before involving any investors, with the aim to finance the film to 30 % before approaching investors.
"The idea of being involved in the making of a movie is an intriguing thought, but out of most peoples practical range for obvious reasons. We normally visit the cinema or settle down with a good DVD, but having had the opportunity to read the gripping 1888 script and spending time with Torkel Knutsson, I wanted to make the challenge a reality and help create an epic movie that we can call our own.
As a businessman and race driver I am aware of the financial pressures and am convinced that we can produce a high quality international film on a cost effective and economical basis. With the resources and team we have already, coupled with the right associated partners and investors, the film "1888" can definitely be delivered on budget and provide a lucrative return for investors, partners and sponsors both in terms of revenue, brand awareness and media exposure." Mark Miller, executive producer.
We are seeking potential partners, investors and sponsors and can offer a wide range of options for those who would like participate with us on all levels in this exciting project.
Potential investors in the UK have got the added incentive of the film tax relief having been extended to the end of 2015. Tax relief can currently be claimed for up to 80% of production expenditure in the UK. A higher rate of relief is available for low-budget films with total production expenditure of no more than £20m.
